"Experience adventures in nature while nestled in the community of Clogheen town."
We have taken this property and reimagined it, presenting it in a chic, modern interior, that is deliberately highly respectful of a conserved and restored large 300 square metre riverside town house dating from the 1700’s and has been in our family for 4 generations. The end product, is an exemplary project in sustainable conservation, repurposing a tired old building into an intelligently simplified, eco-built warm and cosy, home away from home for guests. Our guests can also wander out into the adjoining 11 acres with it's 0.5km of trout riverbank walk, or explore the ongoing wilderness regeneration project on the land.
Come and stay a while to experience this healing and relaxing building transformation and why not take to the mountains in the adjoining Knockmealdowns and Galtees, or if it takes your fancy, wander the maze of local bótharíns on your bike or visit The Vee Pass, a short five minute drive away. You could also visit Lismore, Cashel and Cahir castles nearby or Mitchelstown Cave's which are only a short drive away. There are nearby monastic ruins to be seen or you could go even further back into pre-history seeking out the 5,000+ recorded ancient monuments in the Munster Vales, a sub-set of Ireland's Ancient East trail or what about a thoroughly modern experience of motor car racing...
This is a truly unique building and needs to be experienced first hand, with generations of stories and history to go with it. This has been a labour of love for our family and one we hope to continue for many more generations to come.
